ECOPV Introduction
Supported by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC(“MIIT”), China Green Supply Chain Alliance (“the alliance”) launched by the International Economic and Technical Cooperation Center of MIIT joined up by related enterprises, universities, research institutes, financial organizations and industry associations in accordance with the principle of equality and voluntary. The alliance is initiated and established as a national wide, comprehensive, service-oriented, and non-profit organization. The mission of the alliance is including conducting green supply chain management and technological innovation, green supply chain standardization research, providing green supply chain evaluation and services, promoting international information communication and cooperation, developing green supply chain investment and financing models etc. There are seven special committees led by the alliance at present which including PV Committee, Heavy Machinery Committee, Green Finance Committee, Green Building Materials Committee, Green Label Committee,China Battery Union and Electrical and Electronic Committee.
PV Committee of China Green Supply Chain Alliance (China ECOPV Alliance) is a cooperation and communication platform focusing on building green supply chain for PV industry professionally. The aim of ECOPV is applying advanced green photovoltaic technology to the entire life cycle of photovoltaic material acquisition, production, application and recycling.
As a third party, China ECOPV Alliance will provide professional PV green supply chain services, engage in innovative and application of eco-friendly and new types of photovoltaic products and materials, recognize the environmental and ecological risks in the whole life cycle of PV, and predict the trends of low-carbon and zero-carbon new energy technologies prospectively.
China ECOPV Alliance is committed to the development and research of green manufacturing (eco-design and eco-label), resource efficiency (reliability and recycling) and low-carbon development (RE100) in the photovoltaic field. China ECOPV Alliance will serve to build bridges between government, industry and academic institutions for its members, engages in technological innovation services, provides policy-making references and suggestions, compiles standards and specifications, and conducts market and business integration, training and human resources capacity building, promote international communication and cooperation, as well as science popularization and publicity activities.
China ECOPV Alliance was formally established in Beijing in January 2020, now there are nearly 100 photovoltaic company members (including 6 deputy chairman units, 9 director units and 80 member units) have join in it.The management frame work of China ECOPV Allianceis including an consulting committee composed of 17 consultanting experts, the driving management committee (including 1 director, 7 deputy directors, 1 secretary general, and 2 deputy secretary generals), and three secretariat located in Beijing, Jiaxing, and Guangzhou respectively. Meanwhile, based in China, China ECOPV Alliance has also established 2 overseas branches, that is ECOPV-EU located in Germany and ECOPV-AU located in Australia.
